Hi! I'm Kristie!

I'm a native of Berlin, MD and I love where I live. I hold a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition and am a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), the gold standard for advanced nutrition professionals.

Over the years I have had my own struggles with emotional eating, anxiety and digestive issues that pulled me in the direction of food as medicine. The more I learned and healed myself through holistic nutrition, the more I wanted to pursue this path and help others. So back to school I went! After a three-year masters program, passing the national board exam and a year and a half studying under an Naturopathic Licensed Dietician of Nutrition through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Supervision Program, I was awarded with the CNS certification, Licensed Dietician of Nutrition (LDN) in the state of Maryland. In July of 2021 my sister and I took over ownership of Ocean City Organics. Ocean City Organics is an independent health food store and apothecary with a full line of supplements along with conscious gifts and lifestyle products established in 1989.

It is an absolute honor to help people change their lives by nourishing themselves through holistic nutrition and lifestyle modifications, I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do!

I live in the sweetest little cottage with my fabulous daughter Marlow and our furry boy Mr. Maz. I’m a paddle boarding, coffee sipping, handmade clothing maker, who loves all things bohemian, natural and turquoise, plus a sucker for good fiction.
